Refund & Cancellation Policy
At Borders Bar, certain bookings and events require advance preparation, staffing, stock purchasing and reserved seating. By making a booking with us, you agree to the following refund and cancellation terms.
Deposits & Advance Payments
All deposits and advance payments made for events, table bookings, bottomless brunches, private hire, live entertainment nights and special occasions are strictly non-refundable.
This includes cancellations made by the customer for any reason, including illness, travel disruption, change of plans or failure to attend.
Bottomless Brunch Bookings
Bottomless brunch bookings require advance preparation and allocated staffing levels. As a result:
- Deposits and payments for bottomless brunch bookings are non-refundable.
- No refunds or credits will be issued for no-shows or reduced party numbers on the day.
- Guests arriving late may have reduced drinking time, and the experience end time will not be extended.
- All guests taking part in bottomless brunch must drink responsibly. Borders Bar reserves the right to refuse alcohol service to any guest deemed intoxicated, without refund.
No Shows
Failure to attend a booking without prior notice will be treated as a no-show. No refunds, credits or transfer of payments will be provided for no-shows.
Group Bookings & Private Events
For larger bookings, private hire or reserved event spaces:
- Deposits secure the booking and are non-refundable.
- Final guest numbers may be required before the event date.
- Any reduction in numbers after confirmation may still be charged in full.
- Borders Bar reserves the right to charge for damage caused by guests attending the booking.
Booking Amendments
We will always try to accommodate date or time changes where possible; however, changes are not guaranteed and may depend on availability. Approved changes remain at the discretion of management.
Cancellation by Borders Bar
In the unlikely event that Borders Bar must cancel an event or booking due to circumstances beyond our control, customers will be offered either:
- A rescheduled booking date, or
- A refund of monies paid directly to Borders Bar.
We are not responsible for any additional costs incurred by customers, including transport, accommodation or third-party expenses.
Responsible Drinking & Right of Refusal
Borders Bar operates under the Challenge 25 policy. Valid ID may be requested.
We reserve the right to refuse entry or service to anyone who:
- Appears intoxicated,
- Behaves aggressively or inappropriately,
- Fails to comply with staff instructions, or
- Causes disruption to other guests.
No refunds will be issued in these circumstances.
